Employment after IFCEN

Samuel HUANG Jieqing
Alumnus, enrolled at IFCEN in 2010, Master in 2016, at CGN in Taishan
IFCEN implements the pattern of the French schools of engineering. We spent the first three years of preparatory classes in a multicultural environment. I really enjoyed discussing not only physics and mathematics problems but also cultural differences with my French teachers. During the three years of the engineering cycle, I gained several work experiences in Beijing, in Paris, in Shenzhen and in Taishan, ranging from programming to project tracking and from engineering to coordination.
Higher education at IFCEN provided me with solid knowledge for my professional life, helped me learn by myself and find my place in a team. I am now an employee at CNPDC and serve as a technical support in nuclear island engineering team for Taishan Nuclear Project. As a coordinator of equipment as well as the engineer responsible for ARE, VVP, VDA, SEH, SIH and SEO systems, I communicate a lot with different departments and solve diverse problems on site. The education in IFCEN provided me with the ability to learn new things quickly quickly by myself and to adapt to various jobs.

Arthur PENG Jinghan
Alumnus, enrolled at IFCEN in 2010, Master in 2016, at CGN, China
After my graduation in June 2016, I joined CGN Research Institute (CNPRI) as engineer in the Reactor Engineering and Safety Research Center. I am responsible for the engineering reports about the design of nuclear power plants. I make safety analyses prior to the construction of nuclear power plants and I follow the fuel management process for the currently operating plants of CGN. There is also a great deal of work in the research domain for the new assembly and core design.
The position is attractive because it covers many subjects, both in engineering and research. The challenges come from the difficulty and quantity of work to be done. Thanks to IFCEN, we've been well prepared to overcome such challenges.

Matthieu DING Yang
Alumnus, enrolled at IFCEN in 2010, Master in 2016, now at EDF in Shenzhen, China
I work in EDF China Holding Ltd as a MQS (Manufacturing Quality Surveillance) engineer. My main job is to focus on the inspection and surveillance activities for the nuclear projects of EDF in China.
I am very happy to work in this field, because the safety performance of the equipments functioning in the nuclear power plants is a key parameter. I can apply what I have learned at IFCEN to practical issues.
In the near future, I shall also go to France to receive a full and thorough training for 3 years, in order to become a certified inspector.
